Do you want to be a teacher?

Being a teacher is very tough but many people think it is very easy and stable. Yes, I agree with the job is very stable. You don't need to worry about getting fired or overtime work.
However, it is not easy. It definitly needs a great amoun of patience. Teachers spend most of their working time with immature kids. Children always want to listen to themselves. They never try to listen to others. So it is very hard to control them at once. If one starts talking about oneself, then others start talking. It's like one-way talk.  I really don't want to, but couldn't help shouting to stop them.

What's worse, the size of the class is too big. It's much more than OECD countries' avarage. Dealing with 30 kids is really stressful. I really enjoy the moment when some kids transfer to another school. Teaching 30 kids is actually impossible. We can't call it teaching. It's just pushing kids to pay attention to the teacher. There is no more teaching.

The present government also keep pushing teachers to be more competitive. A teacher as a job is getting far from a stable job. They are evaluated by parents, students and co-teachers. No other jobs which is regarded professional has been evaluated.

If teachers are asked to be changed for better outcome, they should. However if they are blamed for inflating the private education, it should be stopped. Parents who always want their kids to be better than others and the minister of education which never comes up with the right curriculum should be blamed.

For the 'good' teachers.
